LET'S GET STARTED

ON YOUR NEW LOGO

Here’s an overview of what we need from you before we begin!

1) WHAT I NEED TO GET STARTED

BUSINESS OVERVIEW

General description of your business, products, services, target audience, and goals.

DESIGN IDEAS

Your likes, dislikes… favorite colors, and logo examples that catch your eye.

DIFFERENTIATION

Who is your competition and how are you different from them.

These items are covered in the LOGO PLANNER (see link below).  The completed logo planner can be uploaded to your secure dropbox folder.

2) ASANA

Asana is an awesome online platform for communication and project management. We’ll be using this to send messages, share files and track progress during the process. This will help alleviate content and images being lost in long email threads. Everyone loves email threads…right?! (Don’t worry you can still use your email. The messages will post directly to Asana!) Once your project is underway, you’ll receive an email to set up your asana profile and we’ll be off and running!

3) DROPBOX

Dropbox is a great online image/file sharing platform. This isn’t necessary for every project, but if your logo is the beginning of a larger branding project we can use dropbox to organize your brand assets. I will set up a folder for the project and will share the folder with you via email. You can upload all images and files there.

4) THE DESIGN PROCESS

Designing a logo is an extensive process that can be overwhelming. To better help you understand what to expect during the design and development, I’ve outlined my process into 3 steps:

1) DISCOVERY

A large and time consuming part of designing a logo is the planning and research stage of the process. I’ll create an inspiration board based on your logo planner, and research your business, industry trends, competition, and target market. Discovery can take 7-10 working days to compose the groundwork needed to begin concept development.

2) CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

With discovery, research, and inspiration board in place, I’ll move forward with designing rough logo concepts. We do all the initial design work in black and white to make sure the concepts are solid regardless of color. I will design and refine concepts until we have 3 concepts that are on point and beautiful for your review.

3) EDITS & REVISIONS

We will prepare 3 concepts for your review with our notes, inspiration, color usage and font suggestions. You’ll be able to review each concept and offer 2 rounds of revisions with our standard business brand package. (Edits that fall outside of the original scope of work will be billed separately.)

5) WRAPPING UP & LAUNCH!

Once the logo is approved, I will clean up the art for final presentation. Our brand report includes logo usage (all formats), color palette, and font usage. This document will become the bible for you brand moving forward. It simply outlines how to use the logo on any medium (signs, decals, apparel, print, social, etc.)

The new logo with be save in all standard formats (EPS, JPG, PNG) and added to your dropbox. Full color, white (reverse), and black and white version of the logo will also be added to your assets folder in dropbox. PLEASE SAVE ALL LOGO FORMATS AND ASSETS FOR YOUR RECORDS AS WELL. Upon completion, you’ll receive a link to my “moving forward” page where you’ll receive tips and tricks on what to do with your new logo and also information on our Website and Video Production which I highly recommend for all my clients as part of the overall brand reveal.

LASTLY, WE'D LOVE A TESTIMONIAL!

If you had an awesome experience, we’d love to hear about it.
Not only does it make us feel good, but it goes a long way with our potential future clients 🙂
